Crafted from high-grade fireclay and finished with a glossy glaze, this compact 24" apron-front sink is reversible, with a smooth apron on one side and a fluted apron on the other, so you can choose the look that best suits your kitchen.

Designed and made in Italy, the AB2418HS sink offers extra-thick 1 3/8" fireclay walls, a smooth non-porous surface, and the ability to install as undermount, top-mount, or flush-mount. Its 24" size works perfectly in smaller kitchens, bar areas, or secondary prep stations while still providing a generous single bowl for everyday tasks.

The benefits of authentic fireclay

The AB2418HS is made from fine fireclay that is high-pressure cast and fired at very high temperatures, creating a dense, non-porous body and durable glaze. The glazing provides lasting shine and helps prevent stains, food residues, and common kitchen soils from penetrating the surface. Everyday marks like coffee, tea, and other stains can typically be wiped away, and most household acids and cleaners have minimal effect on the finish when used as directed.

Frequently asked questions

How is the AB2418HS sink reversible?

The AB2418HS is built with a smooth apron on one side and a fluted apron on the opposite side. During installation you choose which face to expose, giving either a sleek contemporary look or a more traditional fluted design.

Can this 24" fireclay sink be used with a garbage disposal?

Yes. The sink has a standard 3.5" center drain opening that is compatible with most garbage disposals and standard kitchen drains. 

What cabinet size is required for the AB2418HS?

The minimum recommended cabinet size is 24", but many installers prefer at least a 27" base cabinet for easier installation and support of the farmhouse front. 

Will heat from hot pots damage the sink?

No under normal use. The sink is heat resistant up to around 350°F and has been tested not to crack from placing hot pots or pans directly into the bowl at that temperature range. 

Why can dimensions vary slightly on fireclay sinks?

Because fireclay is an organic, kiln-fired material, slight shrinkage and variation occur during firing. ALFI notes that dimensions may vary by up to 1/8", which is why they recommend using the actual sink on site when fabricating cutouts. 

What warranty does ALFI provide?

ALFI brand provides a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects and a ten-year warranty against fading or staining of the glaze on their fireclay sinks, subject to normal residential use.
